I have one of those Japanese-made reissue Fender rosewood Teles.
I'm giving it a setup and fixing a chip on it, so I took most of it apart to see under the hood.

Big surprise; the rosewood under the pickguard is darker than the exposed rosewood. Perhaps light lightened the color.

These are partially weight relieved. No weight relief under the pickup.

This is what the weight relieving looks like, as seen under the electronics.

I'm drop filling it with super glue.

Interesting relief under the controls. I can't tell exactly in the pic, does the cavity extend up under the bridge? I don't see a seam that would indicate it has a top, so I'm wondering if it's a one or two piece body. And yes, moar pics of that beauty please!

Looks like two slabs on top of each other based on the grain in the 4th pic and the cavity in the 3rd pic

Back in 1985 I was in the market for a guitar and by chance my local shop had 6 of the newly issued RWs so I picked this one. Eventually I plan to completely strip the finish so it'll feel as sexy as it looks.

I remember those rosewood teles from Japan. Really nice guitars.
