Upcoming Documentaries: Weather Report & Jaco

    Just a PSA for fellow Weather Report and Jaco fans, these two documentaries were both crowd funded, reached their goals and I think are about to be released on DVD soon.

    This Is This: The Incredible Journey Of Weather Report by Tony Zawinul

    Jaco: A Documentary Film
    by Robert Trujillo (of Metallica)

    If anyone has any updates, would love to know more.

    Also just in case you haven't listened to it, this 4 part BBC radio program on Jaco is excellent:

    This is cool. Thx for posting.

    For any of you young bucks out there, Jaco was a force of nature. When he showed up on the scene he blew everyone's mind. Arguably he was the guy who took Weather Report to the next level.

    Jaco is supposed to hit this month (blu-ray/dvds). Looking forward to it. Dude was a massive inspiration.

    prolly the best live show I ever saw - WR

    each musician took a solo performance within the concert. I vividly remember Jaco's : fretless fender, looper pedal(ala Frippertronic), shirtless, outrageous
