Just picked up an Emerald and it is pretty dang cool!
Mine has a trussrod but many do not.
Good comment from Walter
Generally there is a standard relief built in and due to the consistency of the Carbon necks, the "action" can be adjusted by modifying string sizing...
but definitely try before you buy if possible.
I have a pair of Composite Acoustics guitars. I am completely happy with the neck and action. Never had a need to adjust it. The one guitar has been my main player for almost four years now. These guitars are built to last and sound good with no setup. It always a good idea to try out guitars before buying one though whether it's wood or carbon.
Acoustic......not sure which I will put up for sale though. Either my H-OM1000N2 or my Shorty SFT. Both are great, but I just made another purchase so one will have to go.
I would part with my DR 1000 n2 (electric dread) I bought from Ted new at la guitars a few years ago.perfect condition-I need to pay off a new acquisition-$950 firm. I may list it later, Ive got others on the chopping block to list
