Ive heard about this happening a lot with V12 PRS. Sometimes within 24 hours of leaving the factory. Kind of a bummer.

V12 was a well-intended experiment that failed. Lots of gap & peel issues at the mahogany/rosewood line on the necks. PRS really ought to be offering full urethane refins on some of the pieces pictured online.

It's still advertised on the PRS site as a feature on the hollowbody models, but not the solidbodies. Would be interesting to know if those descriptions are all up to date.

I own 2 PRS guitars a 2000 Custom 24 and a 2001 McCarty Rosewood that I really like. Back then, they seemed to stick to fewer models. In the last years there has been an explosion of models and finishes. I have the impression that they somehow lost focus and selling their science experiments to customers. All opinion of course.

If I were the OP, I would contact PRS and give them a chance to make it right.

PRS is offering to make it right, just contact them. My understanding the problem is not with all V12 finished guitars. Tom
