Value of all your gear

Whats the realistic cash value of all of your gear? You could put down price paid or price if you sold it. Everything together-guitars, amps, effects, pedals cables, picks, cases..everything. I need to show to SWMBO that I'm not as bad as everyone else.

Mine is about $4,000

I'd say $4,000 is very reasonable... at least on TGP.

I added it up one time and when I was done, I wished I hadn't. I'm a pretty conservative spender and have bought almost everything used except for some pedals. As of this moment, I don't think I have a single guitar or amp that I bought new.

I have about $7500-$8000 wrapped up in my gear as it sits. I could probably realistically get about $4500 out of it. My ESP has kept good value. My mesa is still doing good and my splawn cab is selling used for almost exactly the same price as a new one. The waiting list is crazy on these from what I hear. All my backup guitars sell for anywhere from $300 to $600 going by eBay prices, and all my extra pedals, tour cases, hardshells, expensive cables, it would take time finding the right buyers but I could get a good amount back.

I've been very conscious of buying or trading up for gear that has a lot of monetary value lately because I've finally admitted that I will most likely be moving on to something else in the future.

I stopped counting at $12k and that was just amps. I would guess another $10k in guitars and misc.

I counted the replacement cost of my gear and took into account whether I bought it new or used and came up just shy of $10K, and I'm pretty conservative when it comes to spending money on gear. Most of my stuff was aquired used or through trades.

I have 2 amps and 22 guitars. I probably have $20k+ that I could get out of it and I for the most part have mid-level guitars.

I had to pull this together for insurance purposes - I think I stand at about $36k which is kinda scary!

Maybe $1500-2000. That is what I would hope to get if I sold everything. It may be disproportionally low however because I have two partscasters. Also note that I'm a student with a student's budget...

I would say around $5-6,000.. probably too much for someone my age but some of my gear was given to me.

I'm probably between $10K and $12K in actual resale value, given today's market conditions. I've scaled back some in the last few years. I used to have close to $20K tied up in guitar stuff, but let some of the duplications go.

11 guitars, 10 hard cases, 15 pedals including 3 tuners , 2 amps and one extension cabinet, 5 quality guitar straps, 8 sets of pickups, 75-100 sets of strings, tons of pot, caps, wire, connectors, patch cord, recording equipment,

I'll now revise my estimate to 9-10K. I only buy guitars if I can steal em...
