Apparently by TGP standards this is old hat but still pretty flipping amazing to me... Thanks for the link!

That sequence of alternate picking after he sits down is the cleanest picking I've heard from Ed in years, maybe ever.

LOL. What did you think you were gonna get? It's an amalgamation of all his famous solos. Did you listen to it? If so why?

Although I'm not really a huge fan of VH's music, I always loved Eddie's playing. Great to see him playing at that level again, hope he can keep it together

Incredible. A legend, still able to bring it after 30 years. There is a ton of emotion there behind that technical prowess. Thanks so much for posting!

Hear the guy at the end of the video? He says, "F$%@, ya!" Ha!! He's watching live guitar porn!

    Eddie's the Man.

He plays better in this clip than when I saw him live in '84.

    :aok

    Cool vid!!
I wonder though...he has been playing that same "solo" spot...tempo,phrasing and musical bits for easily the last 20 years.
I love the guy...I have a 5150 tattoo...but man cant the greatest guitar player around...my opinion...offer up something new?
Such a good player that I know has more to offer than the same tried an true.

If he didn't do the old solo standards people would complain about the lack of familiarity.
