I'll keep a lookout too. Not too many Teles with Strat headstocks around here. Would stick out like a sore thumb. Whereabouts was it stolen from? Most junkies make a bee-line for the nearest pawnshop (the usual suspects being down Hastings and the few that are left along Granville.)

    fortunately it is very distinctive.

stolen from a parkade at pender and seymour.

I was running to the office on burrard and pender. I had another guitar and a birthday cake with me. I decided to take two trips.

Something must have happened and my car alarm must not have engaged properly, or a seatbelt in the door or something because between me walking to pender and burrard and back, my passenger door was open and the whole car was rifled through. I just felt absolutely sick when I found it

Ahh, random junkie (the downtown core is notorious for that, but since your local, I'm sure you knew that). By law, pawnshops must wait 30 days before putting things up for sale. Unfortunately, if you go around and ask now, the less that scrupulous shops will get rid of it and not say anything. But I do go "pawn-shopping" on a regular basis, so I'll be looking out and PM you immediately if I see it. Craigslist takes too much time, I'd be willing to bet it was pawned and the guy had his crack rock before you got back to your car.

BTW, have you made a police report yet? It will help greatly if it is found at a shop.

It sucks, I've been through this before. More than once. I was lucky about 50% of the time. If what I suspect is true, you stand a good chance of getting it back. You just have to be patient.

I'll keep my eyes open for it, Guitard. I'm in Vancouver, as well. Great idea to post it here. Saw your stolen: alert on Craigslist already.
