    I have a 68 Deluxe Reverb that is my main amp. Unlike most, I like the bright cap overall. Like most, I wish I could tailor it more to various guitars. Has anyone ever wired the bright cap to a pot, mounted it in the #2 input jack's hole and then been able to have full control from off to 'standard' Fender full on zingy mode? Any reason it would not work as expected?

    Thanks for the reply. Also, does anyone have a suggestion for alternate cap values to sub here?

    It might be fun (and certainly be educational <G>) to put in a multi-position rotary switch (Radio Shack?) instead of the pot in the #2 input. Set it up so that you get:

    1=off
    2= 50pf
    3= 100pf
    4= 150pf
    5 = 250 pf

    etc. to the limit of the switch. Not a "variable" as a pot for mix, but gives you a chance to check out lots of different cap values.
