An update from Valery. That single piece top is going to be sweet, it is a wow. The fret board is deep and dark an exceptional piece of Brazilian Rosewood:

The finished guitar should be under 8 pounds.

I am trying to decide on the finish. Originally I was thinking a Darkburst, but now that I see the amazing top I am wondering if that is the best choice to show this top..Thoughts?

The Brazilian rosewood is from a 100 year old reclaimed beam! I have a sister fretboard to Doc's that is just wonderful to look at and play. Valery was able to get about 40 fretboards from the beam. Here are a couple of pictures of mine to compare to Doc's fretboard. I have the same Jescar stainless frets as Doc is getting on his SC.
