Are there any other pedals that pull this off?

The Pitchfactor will do it pretty well I suspect

as far as pedals go, you could probably get somethign similar with the crystal echoes patch on the pitchfactor that's coming out. also you could try using the spacey-swell that's on the digitech ex7

the boss ps-3 (mode 7), and a reverb pedal can hit that sound, and have more control over the tonality.

the super delay and a verb pedal can as well.....plus, you can use an expression pedal for the amount of octaves in the 'shimmer'.

Digitech Expression Factory....it's got 7 different expression settings. The space station nails the "shimmer". Much, much better than the verbzilla. I run it into a radial ABY box sort of like a wet/dry thing. By itself it's too ambient, but mixing it in with your dry signal gives you the ability to swell it in and out. Here is a pretty loose representation...

to be honest, I don't think the Verbzilla can even do it right! it always seemed kinda glitchy to me. it's a great reverb, otherwise, but I admit I bought it for the octo effect. Bit dissappointing.
Deluxe Memory Man with a Volume Pedal works better for my purposes.

    the digitech ex-7 is better.
the "real" digitech space station (xp300) is miles better.

The xp300 are tough to find. They do sound incredible though.

I suppose my Line 6 DL-4 can't pull off a similar effect? That only has the DMM chorus...How would you set it up with the DMM?

The signal is delayed, pitch-shifted (up 2 octaves,) and reverb is added.
You will have more control if you use separate effects.
