Versatile univibe?

Hey guys,
I've owned an MJM Sixties vibe in the past and loved it but I need a more versatile modulation pedal for gigs. I'd like something with a strong univibe flavor that can throb but can cover more phaser-ish territory. I am looking at the Diamond Halo chorus or the Blackout Effectors Whetstone right now. Any other recommendations or experience with those two? Thanks!

VFE Enterprise

dedicated phaser, but has a 'vibe' mode as well. i wouldn't expect that to sound as good as your vibe's vibe sound, but if you just want a generic vibe tone and more would prefer a good phaser along with it, you'd be pleased with it.

I reccommend looking at the VFE Enterprise as well and the SolidGold FX Apollo Phaser, that will be released soon.

Here's a spectacular demo:

I've had one for about a week. It sounds amazing. Great customer service and built like a tank.

I've owned a wetstone for a while. I cant say anything bad about it. It's a great phase/vibe pedal but, IMO nothing touches the empress phaser.
I've owned most of the big name phase/vibe pedals and the empress
replaced them all. The thing is just badass,it's great.

Here's the specs from empress it's definitely worth checking it out

-Killer Sound Quality - The Signal to Noise ratio is around 104 dB.
8 Auto modes - Envelope follower, center & speed, speed(sine), speed(square), audio sweep trigger, random level trigger, rhythms and direct control

-Tap Tempo with Ratios - Use tap tempo to set the phasers speed; the ratio selection makes fast tempos and triplet based phase times easy.

-2 / 3 / 4 Stages - Select 2, 4 or, an empress exclusive, 3 stages

-5 Rhythms - Rhythms let your phaser boldly go where no phaser has gone before

-Ultimate Control - Control over width, speed, resonance, waveform, and number of stages.

-8 Waveforms - Phase through sine, triangle, asymmetric sine, swung sine, sawtooth, reverse sawtooh, square and step waveforms.

-True Bypass - The Empress Phaser Pedal employs true bypass, so you can be sure that it's not affecting the signal when disengaged.

-Gain - Set the output gain of the phaser to match your bypassed signal or use up to 6dB of boost to really drive your preamp.

-Small Size - The enclosure measures approximately 4.5" by 3.5" by 1.5", which is delightfully small when considering all the features packed into this unit.

-Unsurpassed Connectivity - The Universal Control Port allows you to connect an expression pedal, external tap switch, control voltage, external audio input and MIDI all using a standard 1/4" jack!

-True Display LEDs - Extremely responsive LEDs always let you know what the phaser is doing and help you adjust the sensitivity in the auto modes.

The Roger Mayer Voodoo Vibe pedal has a lot of univibe variations with its bias and symmetry controls. Also does vibrato and tremelo. Pricey, though.

If money is no object and you can find a used one or have no hurry to order a new one...the Toneczar Halophase will phase you...leslie you...vibe you...autowah you and amaze you...sorry...that was bad but I couldn't help it!!:p

I'm still discovering tones I didn't know existed in it plus it's analog and there are no digital artifacts to be had which is usually what lets me down in most of these type of effects...

Probably not versatle enough for your needs but for pure Univibe goodness the Sweetsound Ultra Vibe II is hard to beat...

Chow,
