its a good pedal - if you put it infront of a MXR 10band EQ or Boss EQ you can really dial in some insane tones, on top the exsisting insane tones already within the pedal.

Ok... so I got it yesterday. Let me tell you this thing rips... Its got a ton of gain on tap and to my ears sounds much better than anything that boss or anything else in that price range has. The onboard noise gate is great. The EQ (bass,mid treb) offers a wide spectrum of sound. I was playing it straight into an old all tube Silverface Fender Musicmaster Bass amp.. (this is actually a really great amp for guitar.) I will test it again through my JSX mini colossal into a mesa 1x12 cabinet as well. Dont know if I will bother testing it through my 5150II and 4x12 rig though...

I did have to keep the levels low because my 6 month old was sleeping.. I will give it a real run tomorrow night at my rehearsal....

anyway, if you need a metal pedal and have the cash to throw around, i recommend it.....:AOK

I think that used with an eq(maybe even without one) that these tones should be easily achieved. I know that Billy is using a Diezel Herbert and a Bogner Uberschall these days plus tons of outboard gear Im sure.. but yeah... I think that this could pull that off IMO....

You can get close with all the tonal options available... the only thing you can't do with it, dial out the dirt.

True... this thing does not clean up by lowering your volume, etc...

Its balls to the wall at all volumes...
