Thinking about picking up a VHT 12/20 head and running it through a either a 2x12, maybe even a 1x15....I would upgrade to 6l6s and play on the high wattage mode.....do you think it could keep up with a band in-miced? Other guitarist is playing through a BF Showman, bassist through a Bassman...loud drummer...poor acoustics in playing space....

How would it compare to a HRDlx or Peavey Classic 30?

    Thanks!

I used to run a sort of similar rig for rehearsals.

6L6 tubes, high power, and efficient WGS ET90 speakers. It worked great in our rehearsal space but would definitely need to be mic'ed for gigs (in our situation anyway).

Impossible to really say & depends greatly on the speakers. It will be much louder if you are using Eminence Wizards vs a Jensen C12Q.

Hot Rod Deluxe + the pedals you plan to use should definitely get the job done. Especially, if you are just looking for an affordable rehearsal space option. Solid gig amp also, so many people don't use it just because it's affordable.
