EDIT: Added audio clips to post

Thanks to Ejecta / Todd letting me try out the amp before sending it off, I was able to do a few quick vids of the various amp channels. This dvd camcorder has a crappy mic, so I had to use the amp at a fairly low volume to avoid clipping. Since low volume use is something that is asked for quite often, you'll get to see kinda how it sounds.

As for the equipment and such, I used my Anderson Cobra w/H2+ bridge pickup and a new Marshall 1960B cab with the dreaded G12T75's. The clips are just a bunch noodling so don't expect much! All the tone controls were set @ noon along with the presence and depth. Both gains were set @2:00. Any changes you hear are only changing the toggle switches. On the 7 string clip I did up the Presence to 2:00, on the Clean clip I tried some different pickup combinations. The amp was set on the 100 watt setting too. I only had the amp for a few hours, so there are lots of different tones in all the channels, these are only a few.....

A million thanks to Ratter for helping me figure out how to do the video editing on this Macbook!!

Sorry for all the nonsense playing, but I can never seem to think of anything cool to play and it was first thing in the morning. :)

    Here they are:
    Rhythm Channel

    More Rhythm Channel

    Loomis 7 string /EMG clip

    Rhythm and Lead soloing

    Rhythm and lead Channel switching

    Low volume sustain

    Clean Channel

    Lead Channel

So there you go....let the flames commence!!!! :D

EDIT: Here is some audio that was recorded at the same time as the video with my Zoom H4 recorder. I guess alot of people didn't realize when I said "it was a crappy camcorder mic" that's what I meant

Boy, that's a great sounding amp. Somewhat like my CLX, but different. Different enough that I'm seriously going to consider one of these.

thanks for the demo! Sounds super nice. Can't wait to hear a demo with a nice mic setup.

Now I can't get Flight of Icarus out of my head. haha.

Amp sounds great man. Pretty good actually for camcorder sound too.

Didn't hear much of a JSX tone in there. Closer to the darker Elmwood/cameron, style tones. Cool though.

I'll be the jackass who says it... I'm not enamored of the clean tone. I would never pass judgment on the amp based on clips, because I know, I know. I'll give it a listen in person.

The rhythm sounds are great, and it seems to be a nice lead tone too. Another great amp option. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for when they start hitting the streets with more regularity.

I wasn't either, but I think it will sound quite different with a Strat, and speakers other than G12T75s (for example EV SROs or Celestion Sidewinders like I'm currently using), and with a small amount of reverb or delay.

I'm pretty picky about what humbuckers I like with clean tones, and while I like 335s, there have been few humbucking solid body guitars I've played where I was knocked out by the neck pickup clean tone no matter what amp they were going through (the midrange hump is always a distraction for me), but my experience is pretty much limited to major manufacturers and stock pickups.

I'm really looking forward to hearing the cleans of the Sig X in the type of context I'll be using it in...I think the cleans will sound a lot different (and frankly better...to my ear at least) with a Strat or 335 going into my EV SROs than they did on the clip.

Thanks for posting the clips George, at least they gave us a taste of what the amp can do, and some pretty sweet playing as well!

I thought I had recorded some audio of the clean as well, but I guess my recorder is thinking otherwise. My Anderson is two hb's with a 5 way, it was set on the middle position and is more like a LP clean tone.

Yeah Henry, this gtr is more a typical LP type tone (clean and dirty). I was going to grab my tele, but it was so early in the morning.......;)

You are welcome Lution. I had planned on replacing the camera audio with the recorder audio. With this new Mac I couldn't figure out how to do it!

Its probably because it was posted on a weekend...not too many surfing then :)

Where do you get one? I'm 12 miles from a dealer I frequent and the ship date has changed for over a year in my quest to buy one. Are they actually being produced and shipped now?
