I've owned a VHT Special 6 combo for about a year and a half. Recently, it has developed a problem where it makes a very annoying buzzing sound on certain notes (primarily low and middle C and the notes near it). What is more, the tone and volume of the amp have been changing randomly. One minute it is bright and loud, the next it is much mellower and weaker.
I have tried different guitars, speakers, cables, and even replaced both tubes, all to no avail. I've inspected the cabinet and circuitry and have not found anything that would cause this (i.e. loose parts, bad connections).
Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions for how I might fix this?
