Vibro King in head form?

Love my Vibro King, but am wondering if something similar exists in head form. I love the deep reverb and tone of this amp. I know there's the Fender Showman head, but can it do the surfy reverb tones I'm getting with the VK?

I think Bruce Zinky makes something very close to the Vibroking, and you can get it in a head form. Check-out the Supro web site. I think it is called the Tremolectric, or something like that...

I'd like to add that I think Bruce Z designed the Fender Vibroking.

I talked to him on the phone one day about the tremolectric and he said you could view it as a refined Vibroking; some of the problems were worked-out (like clicking tremolo, etc).

You could pull out the chassis and put it in a headcab? I had mine built for about $130 for my Super.. It's a real back saver!! Plus it lets you mix/match cabs for different sounds.. 10's, 12's, and 15's..

I emailed Zinky about a month or 2 ago about building me a 1/2 power VK. His reply was that he did not believe he had done that before but that anything was possible. Although it would be a 6 month wait for him to design and build it.

In the meantime he pointed me towards the Tremolectric stating that it is a VK, but oh so much more!

Unfortunately, I had to unload my VK as it was just too dang heavy (back issues) and loud (nostly bedroom player) for my uses.

Other than that, I've not heard of any VK clones out there in the wild.

And yes, Zinky did design the VK

The ToneMaster is a different amp altogether- actually a gain beast but not like the VK very much at all. A Bandmaster is a bit closer as is the Bassman

I think the Dual Showman is the one like the Vibroking. Except, it is 100W and has two 12's....I think....
