It takes at least twice as long as my Germino. Is it a tube issue or just the way the Victoria is supposed to work?

I've found that old Mullard tubes [esp longplates] like to heat up at least 20 min before fully coming to life...got any?

All tube amps sound better after being on for awhile, usually about 30 minutes of good hard playing.

Set up your amp first, turn it on, after about a minute or so take it off standby and then get out your guitar, tune it, set up any pedals etc, and you're good to go.

That depends upon how the bias is set and the Class of operation.

I noticed at one point that my Guytron was taking over 20 min to get max tone. So I tweaked the bias now I get full tone right out of the blocks...
