    Hi All,

Can anyone tell me about the Victoria Silver Sonic?

I play a les paul R9. How clean does it stay? How well does it take pedals? What rectifier does it use?

    Any user reviews available?

    Thanks,

    Axe

Not much clean. Really nice OD tone --- This is not the amp I would use with OD pedals. Like I said, very little clean volume, and it's own OD tone is what that amp is all about. The reverb and trem are about the best I've heard. The one I had (for a couple of days) was very noisy. Too noisy.

Also, there was a gap between the chassis and the back panel. Seemed almost a bit dangerous. Very easy for something, e.g. a guitar pick to fall in there. Just sloppy fit and finish on such a nice looking amp.

Great amps. Like a beefed up Deluxe Reverb-bigger cab/iron. It's quite a looker. Headroom similar to a DR, and the clean tones are beautiful. Superior reverb and trem. Great drive when cranked up. I'd love to get one some day. I've played through a few of them and been really impressed.

I believe it's essentially a 6V6 version of a Bassman with reverb and trem added (rather than a DR).

I was really excited about it when it came out, but when I got a chance to play one it was not what I was looking for. For ME, it was too bassy, and that was with a telecaster. With a Les Paul I would think it would be a pretty dark sounding amp.

Any suggestions? In your opinion is it not worth the money?

I remember reading the SS being described as the Golden Meldy's little brother,
but a friend of mine had a SS briefly and the analogy is inaccurate.

His feeling was it was a duplication of other amps he already owned.
