Vid of Opening up for Frisell.

    Here's a gig I did with the great Jamaaladeen Tacuma and Calvin Weston opening up for Frissell.

    I dig the sitarish solo that I did on this tune.

    Bill was sitting right off the stage, so needless to say, I was pretty nervous.

    Also, we completely improvised the set, nothing was rehearsed at all!!!

    very hip stuff there aram- what a fun band to play in! the groove that calvin does at about 3:35 is sick. who's the other guitar player?

    Thanks everyone!

    Yeah, it was a really fun show to play- one because we totally improvised the whole set, and two because Frisell was there.

    Calvin's groove at 3:35 is awesome! He's such an amazing drummer, and he and Jamaal lock up so well- they've been playing together for almost 30 years now.

    Honestly, I forget the name of the other guitar player. He was a local Philly guy.

    one thing i was thinking when i was playing this show was
    "how much of my style do i owe to this man, and can he here his own playing in my playing?"

    it was quite a trip!
