1. The Gear Page is run by musicians for musicians. We listen, we learn and if we misstep we are not afraid to do the right thing. We proposed some changes to the Emporiums. Based on feedback from members, we have decided to not go ahead with those changes. However, it has also highlighted that we need some community input into what is working and what is not working for members here. Primarily focused on the Emporiums, we'd like input on your thoughts about TGP and how things work in the Emporiums for you and how you'd improve them. The discussion thread on the is here!

Great to see (and hear) you again, Dan (I've been missing the sound of your playing lately). Man, that JBL really tightens up the '65, and what a ring, even from the neck pickup!

    Great video!

Nice man. Sounds like DA's Fillmore East tone. The goldtop tone, that is. :AOK
Is that your Grandma there at the end? What does she think of the tone?
If she lets you turn it up a bit you'd be in Ludlow Garage territory!

Thanks all for the compliments. I really like this set up for blues. The JBL really fits the DR, because typically the bass in the Oxfords is flubby. Vintage Jensens C12Q are the best choice for a real Chicago tone, but the JBL helps tighten the bottom and really lets the woodiness of a Les Paul come through at high volume.

    BobboV,

Yeah, these are 59 PAF's that TM got for my conversion!

    Hey guys,

Conversion is a original 1952 Gibson goldtop that has had a neck reset and route for humbuckers, and a TOM and stop tailpiece added.

Yes, this is a real 1965 Deluxe Reverb all original.

    Bobov,

The DR, as you know has no mid control. I turn the treble up to 7 and the bass down 4.

    TM is Terry Mueller.:dude
