I don't know if the comment is a mortal or venal sin. The real question is, what's the point of it?

Man, like it isn't great to hear Buddy anyway, but DAMN. Did you REALLY need to kick my Mini Z lust a notch?

I don't agree. There are definitely lots of great players out there but few that possess the myriad of qualities that causes transcendence. There are some guys who play the same licks as everyone else but for many reasons, guys like Buddy just sound better.

could you dig a little slide work....I thought that you could..;)

    S l i i i i d e

To these ol' ears Buddy is purty much a complete player..great rythum player, he got the slide thang goin' on , & well you know about his lead work...&... he does it all with about the best tone goin' IMHO, with NO PEDALS.... lots of guys have one or two of these thangs goin' for them...but Buddy's got it all....+ he can sing a LITTLE bit... if you haven't had the chance to see him live with one or more of his local bands then you don't know what your missin'

purty cool story....Buddy was sittin in at a jam with some friends of his...Ray Sharpe ( Linda Lou) came by.... a couple days later Buddy was sittin' in with a friend of mine....they did a song ,& Buddy said "I picked this up from Ray"... Man.. he had Ray's tone,phrazing,licks...you close your eye's you think it's Ray...

I like he plays slide in "regular tuning"

    mo slide

the point is, i was just expressing an opinion, thanks all. i never said he was a "bad" player or anything. i like him fine...no pedals is "pure"....

hope i didnt offend anyone...that wasnt my intention...

You're entitled to have an opinion just like everyone else. Don't see what the big deal is with that.

They really don't come much better than BW. He's on the Dr Z amp forum regularly. He's very helpful when someone asks about something and not afraid to ask for help from others. He's a regular guy with extraordinary talent.
