Hey guys. I have the chance to buy one of these. Not sure of the exact year, but the guy said his dad bought it for him in the 50's. He's never used it and it's been sitting in a case for the last 50 years to my knowledge. At least I hope. Just wondering if anybody here has any experience with these? How do they sound? What's the going price? Anybody have some good pics of theirs?

He doesn't know how much he wants. He knows nothing about guitars. I want to get a decent deal without ripping him off. I told him I would try and find a price.

Anybody else have one of these guitars? I'll see this one in preson tonight. Pretty excited. From the pics it looks cleaner than any U1 I've seen online.

I have a black '57 - playing it right now!

It's my favorite guitar. Best description: It sounds exactly like a Danelectro. Warm, rich, lively, resonant, and a little cheap.
