I somehow ended up with 2 of these - a friend of the family passed away and I ended up with them. I also have a vintage archtop and I've decided to get a WD pickup blank and craft a pickguard to mount one into. It appears to be basically like a goldfoil type pickup with a volume and tone control mounted on a separate metal housing attached by a lead. It was designed to be screwed onto the guitar top - I plan to mount both parts on the pickguard. Anyone have any info about these, use one, know about how they compare to other pickups, etc.?
