I have an opportunity to buy a "vintage" CP-9 from the "early 80s" for $75. I did some research on old Ibanez serial numbers to be able to verify this when i see the pedal in person, but is this a good pedal? I Saw them going on Ebay for quite a bit more than 75 but I searched these forums and didn't find anything about it.

It's a fantastic pedal due to it being a limiter too - it adds fantastic chime if you have a dull amp. I dug mine out a few months ago and can't get enough of it.
It's particularly fantastic for clean solos. here's some toobage, although the youtube compression is really bad: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jshnEgxwD1w

    ...and here's a comparison with the BOSS CS2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lA22DuFYUa8

I'll try to get my own demo up ASAP too.
