Bought a '72 superlead and two cabs from GC. brought the head and one cab home, still paying off the last one. :)

Cab has several strangenesses that make me wonder what year it is. Here's what I found so far:

1) Has gold piping up over the top of the cab
2) caster cups on bottom cab are screwed in
3) plastic handles, screwed in
4) back of cab is NOT MDF, it's wood like the cab is made out of
5) speakers have no date codes on frames other than T1221 and GE W. No white writing on the cones either. Speakers are 75hz greenbacks. Rola Celestions Ipswitch.
6) no corner protectors

Here are a few pics... any ideas on the speakers and cab? I have no idea if head was purchased with cabs originally, head dates to 1/72.

Thanks!

Looks correct except for the screwed in plastic handles, and casters being screwed in. Normally the handles had rivets but that could have been changed so that they didn't rattle. Casters are changed all the time due to wearing out, not a big deal.

Gut shots of the cab and bottom would be a help. Email them to me and I'll let you know my thoughts.

And keep the pics to under 500K each, please. One TGP member sent me 4-5 6mb pics and it damn near killed my email inbox!

I was smoking crack, handles have rivets not screws. ;9

I'll take some pics and desize them, thanks man! I also pulled a speaker and found a 102 3 WAY up under the frame where I never would have seen it.

Saw your pics. That’s a totally stock bottom cab with Pulsonic 102 3 cones. Speakers alone are worth $300 each. The casters are non original, all of the other features and speakers date from mid 72.

Enjoy!
