I posted these pictures at strat-talk right after my summer vacation, so nothing new if you happened to see that thread. Figured I would share with this group for those that don't read over there.

The biggest surprise for me of the museum was the sparkle finished sunburst strats. I had never heard of their existence.

Surprised about all the custom color 1950s Strats...only seen burst, see-through blonde (Mary Kay style), desert sand, a black one or two...are the other colors documented in Fender's records?

    Thanks for the pictures.

"Behind the Glass never to be heard from again..."

I understand both sides, preservation vs. usage. Those guitars are something... That's the most amazing collection that I have seen of Fenders.

    This is great.
You would enjoy visiting Dave's Guitar Shop in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. Killer collection of custom color strats on display, open to the public, and not behind glass.
The strats are just part of it; I think there are over 300 guitars in the collection now.

Really enjoyed the Songbirds tour. Impressive and Chattanooga is such a great town, easy drive for me - mind-blowing stuff

    Brilliant.
Wish you would’ve snapped a one off pic of that LPB Strat w/ matching headstock.

Great pics! That 2-tone 'burst hardtail w/maple neck makes my heart ache.

Very nice. Please, remove the BS apostrophe from the title. Thanks.
