Anyone know of a source for vintage style split shaft tuners that are modern sized? I'd like to replace the Pings on a Hwy1 with something like that & was hoping to get some ideas from someone else who had done the same.

    Thanks!

Do you need a different size b/c the holes in the headstock are too large? Or is there a different problem?

I replaced some Sperzels w/vintage style Klusons and just bought some tapered adapters to fit the hole and the Klusons.

I believe the holes are too large. I think the Pings are bigger than the vintage tuners. Tapered adapters sound like they would work just fine, do you have a good source to recommend?

Allparts is where mine came from.

If it is a close fit, you can wrap the bushings with aluminum duct tape and push them in the hole. Just trim off the excess tape w/a razor blade.
