Vintage Teisco 10, should I?

I found an add for a vintage 8 watt Teisco that goes for super cheap. 250 bucks or so....well....1000 shekels. Should I pull the trigger? Seems like a no brainer.

Yes if it works is my opinion. Something vintage at that price sounds like a no brainer

I'd need to know a little more about it. First off, all tube? Next, WHICH tubes? Many of those amps don't use an input transformer, or at least not for the heaters. You can tell because the heater voltage ratings add up to roughly 100-110 (like the 50C5, 35W4 and 12AX7 of an amp-in-case Danelectro). They are a shock hazard and need to be run on an isolation transformer, an additional cost besides any caps that need replacing.

All that said, it's a $250 amp, not a bargain at that price but a decent small volume amp.

No I would not its over priced. Save a little more and get a Magnatone 108 or silvertone 1482 better build and tone

From what I understand it's an all tube amp with reverb and tremolo, it's a copy of a vintage Vox Pathfinder.

That seems like a lot of amp for $250. Still, I'd want to play it and make sure it's as advertised before I put my money down!
