Vintage Tele Value 71 thinline vs 72 solid

    Looking for opinions -- which has better overall value - a vintage 71 Thinline in very good shape with refret - or a 72 Tele solid with mini humbucker in neck position? The thinline is going for a lot more than the solid btw....

    I think the original vintage Thinlines with single coil pickups are a tremendous value. (Pretty sure they transitioned to the humbucker version in late-71). They are fairly uncommon and are usually very good guitars and lightweight.

    A regular 72 tele that's been routed in the neck position (common mod - thanks Keith Richards) is not too special IMO. More or less a 70's tele...
