What pedal power cable fits an old original TS808 Tube Screamer?

What the heck do you call that tip style (Its the male(?) type, not the Boss)?

Is the tip "+"? I've got an old cable that fits that I could cut up and solder a pp end on.

    thanks.

    Thanks.

Anyone know if its called a 3.5mm? I'm guessing the tip is "+"?

reissue 808's come with the plug adaptor...could your local guitar store order a plug for you? That's what I'm using for my old 808.

TS808, old and new, use what I call the old EH MXR style, it's a 1/8" male plug. the tip is positive.

5.5x 2.1mm barrel is the other style, Boss/Ibanez style. Those have the tip as negative.

    Many thanks Mike!

This question turned out harder to get an answer than I thought... and ya don't wanna blow up an old tubescreamer.

Mike, I posted a similar question and was told the 1/8" plug that comes with the PP2+ would work fine. Is this true?

I used it to power my Klon just fine, but I don't want to fry the AM true vintage TS808 I just got. I'd rather use the PP2 cable than add on the pigtail, if possible.

It should work just fine. It's a 1/8" (or 3.5mm, for us metric folks) phone plug, tip positive like Mike said. The Boss-type plug is a 2.5mm barrel type DC plug, center pin negative.

So is this the same plug (1/8) with polarity as what my Klon takes?
