Great photos. A favorite haunt of mine.
I would prefer a store with a better selection of guitars - LOL!!!!
That place is wild.
Saul has a great store and great prices. I was like a kid in a candy store on my visit there a couple of years ago.
I haven't bought anything from him, yet, but I'll come up with an excuse someday.
And I can be there in in less than 8 hours. So close ....
Thanks for posting!!!
Those Guitar of the Week SG's with the P90's a killing me...
I got one of the best 335s ever known to mankind from Saul 7 yrs. ago, what a great guy to deal with, even at coast-to-coast long distance.
coolness! Bought my VOS LP there in July '06. Spent the day picking out the best one. Saul and his mom were great to me!
Saul has been a great friend of mine for over 10 years. I would never buy a Gibson guitar from anyone else. :AOK
That store quoted me a price on the Slash guitar that was higher than GC. I was not impressed with their business dealings. I am sticking with makenmusic. I am sure there are deals in that store, but I didn't receive one, so I passed on making a purchase.:Spank
There are 3 Slash model LP's out there. Maybe a snafu in the price quote? I've known him to price match. (not on every single little thing) Either way, I'd be willing to spend a couple of extra bucks at Saul's store just for the peice of mind and added customer attention and service that is light years beyond GC.
wow this place has been in san diego the whole time and i've never even heard of it? it's right down the freeway from my school. i've been going to buffalo bros this whole time and that's such a far drive.
Color coordinated. Looks like someone's closet with all the pants and shirts hung together by style and shade.
Wish it were my closet!
In Mr. Carrot's album, what model are the two Custom Shop LPs with maple backs and 3-piece maple necks?
If you talk a bit with Saul he'll give you a great price. It's all about negotiations. Besides GC got some crappy flame tops on the Slash guitars. The flame on the one I got from Saul was in the range of the Slash USA Standards going on ebay for around 3K.
Here's a pic, hip hip horaaay for Saul
I've only been there once. This was my dialog with saul:
Saul: "Why don't you buy a guitar today??"
Me: "why don't you carry any fenders??"
That was my question after seeing the pics, doesn't he carry any Fenders, only Gibsons and PRS??
Because Fender won't give him a dealership, he's tried before and recently told me he's going to try again. Apparently he's surrounded by enough of them already and they don't need him. Business is business. He was an exclusively Gibson and Marshall dealer. After Gibson jerked their dealers with the no website policy, he became a PRS dealer as a form of protest, but only small numbers of them. That's also when he approached Fender to see about getting them on-board as well.
