My pops purchased an acoustic guitar in the late 70's early 80's from a pawn shop in Stillwater, MN and the brand name was Vito. I'm familiar with Vito saxophones, clarinets, etc...but have never been able to locate any info about this guitar. Anybody know anything?

Wow! This is the first I've seen anything about Vito guitars on the internet!
My first real guitar was a Vito classical (3 steel/3 nylon) and thats what I learned on. My parents bought it for me in 1970 or 71, somewhere in there for $80 and then I traded it in when I bought another guitar years later. But I always missed my Vito.
If anyone else out there sees this post and has a Vito classical in excellent condition and wants to sell it let me know!

Don't know a whole lot.

Vito is, of course, mostly known for band instruments. As best as I can figure, the Vito guitars were made in Japan (I do not have a clue by whom) for G. Leblank Corp which began business in the mid-1960s in Wisconsin. The guitar was named for company founder Vito something or the other..

I have a 12 string Vito guitar model 703-7 that I am willing to sell. I am going to put it on craigslist here in Maine so if you are still looking, let me know ASAP.
