After years of playing amps I find preference in simple circuits with simply two controls. It's weird, but I seem to worry less and play more. For me personally, I'm a tweed and brown Deluxe fan. I'm really enjoying my Aracom VRX22. What other boutique amps are out there with just a tone control?

The Dr. Z Carmen Ghia is a fantastic simple tone monster. I miss mine.

The Ghia for sure. The Tungsten Mosaic MKII is also a volume and tone knob amp.

The Vox AC15HW1X on the normal channel. With the master volume switched out of the circuit, it's just the volume knob and the cut knob. Same with the AC30.

Funny, I was just thinking about starting a similar thread.
I have the 1974x, and it's a blast to play. I'm wondering what similar style and sounding amps are out there. Here are some that I just mentioned in a different thread:
Blankenship Leeds 21 Carry On, or the Diamond Positron (designed by Blankenship, ss rectifier, handwired in Asia).
Avatar 18 (could list quite a few Marshall 18w clones)
    Dr. Z Carmen Ghia
    Jackson Newcastle 18

Fender Pro Jr. for a cheaper production model, seems to be very popular.
Marshall 2061x seems to be popular for a smaller amp that gets the metal panel JMP vibe.

Another vote for the Swart STR Tweed. God, what a tone monster!

Does it count if there are also depth, speed and reverb knobs?

At Mars Specialist. Although, the Normal Channel on my Brit has just a volume control and cut, and you can rule the world with just that.
