i have built a princeton tweed, blkface princeton reverb, and a marshall 1974. trying to cover most all the 60's/70's tone options. my question is would i benefit from a small Vox AC type to round things out or could i achieve that sound by tweaking something in my current line up? thanks to all in advance

I've never played through one, but all I've ever read were comments bashing the vintage AC4s. Even Vox is said to have tweaked the circuit on their latest models because they felt the original amp was pretty weak and couldn't compete in the market if they reissued.

Look at doing an AC15? Or clone/handwire/mod a newer version? I certainly enjoy having some Vox tone.
