But Pro Tools LE I think comes with Bomb Factory? those are some good plug-ins.
My suggestion is to learn how to use Pro Tools LE, and find out what you really need. Learn how to do bussing, side chains, and all that stuff. The manual that's in PDF that comes with it is surprisingly well written. but if you prefer paper, there are other heavy thick 1000 page manuals out there.
If you need a drum program, Addictive Drums, BFD2, EZDrummer, Superior Drummer are good. EZDrummer seems to be the go to around here because it is so inexpensive, but the deal there is that it ends up pretty much the same price when you buy the add-ons you want. Reason 4 with ReDrum is another way to go, and this one gives you synthesizers and other instruments as well, you'll need Digi ReWire for Reason 4 to use it.
Most companies stuff supports RTAS and VST these days.
