Are there any small luthiers (or big, doesn't really matter, I suppose) that do guitars with walnut tops (just plain) or full walnut bodies? I know Soloway does, as well as Carvin. Are there any more? The only walnut guitars I can find on the 'bay are some old Strats/SG's/aluminum necked Kramers.

As you state, Carvin does, and I've seen some real beauties in Claro.
The builds are quite nice, I wouldn't dis them if you see a model that
you like the shape of. The pups can be swapped out if you don't
    dig 'em.

And yeah, Jim (Soloway) has made some incredible ones too.

Scott French built my custom with a walnut body and neck.

Gibson made some SGs back in the 80s that were solid walnut. "The SG" was the model.

I have one of the first production Lowel walnut handmade guitars. It is an amazing guitar. It is only 849.00 to boot. It is chambered and very light. Hand rubbed urethane. One of the nicest playing guitars I have played. We just became a dealer I will have pics asap but these are mind blowing for the price.

Myka (mykaguitars.com) makes some gorgeous walnut topped guitars. Actually his guitars are gorgeous no matter what he uses.

I've got a Soloway with a walnut top. I couldn't possibly ask more in a guitar.

Keep me informed on this. I can see the two small pictures on your frontpage, and for that price, am definitely intrigued!

The Moser is a little too "edgy" for me - BC Richish. The Myka shapes are a little too rich and blobby, as I see them. Regardless, I"m glad to see some people (not many, it seems!) working with walnut. The search continues! Thanks everyone.

Those are the exact shape of the guitar. This one I have in stock has a natural finish and double dot inlays that are standard on Lowels new guitars. The ones on the site are closer to 1500. The one I have in stock plays amazing.

I could switch the pickguard out or remove it, but...WOW! That, is killer.

not sure how you could remove it being that the wiring on a tele is from the top, but I'd probably switch it up a little...Maybe straight ebony instead of striped.
