Ok so I have my strat fitted with the eric clapton .25mb and tbx tone control. I want to keep the mid boost but, I am thinking about removing the TBX tone control for a standard tone control. Can I do this and still have a master tone control for all 3 pickups? I guess if i can't I would prefer to have the tone control on the bridge pup. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sure there's a way. I have an '89 AM standard Strat that had a TBX & standard tone control (not EC mid boost). I used a wiring diagram from the Seymour Duncan pickup page & got rid of the TBX. This means mine is similar to a Tele with 1 tone control.
