Really nice looking G&L. I love ASAT's and already own a Special. But this is a nice double bound Classic and it looks basically new and unplayed. The plastic is still on the pickguard. Trouble is, they want $975 for it and act like they won't budge. That seems high to me. Opinions?

Wow how much for the white Strat? :)

Try and go in there with cash money and lay it on the counter...let em know you are serious. I bet they will budge.

That white strat is also a G&L - it's a Legacy. They want $975 for it too. I was thinking about making them an offer on both.

    Opinions on price?

sounds a little high to me, mint condition Bluesboys are going in the 800s ... but very nice looking ASAT indeed.

I just talked to the dude. I think $850 or so will buy it. It needs a white pearloid pickguard in my opinion.

    $850 seems fair if it's a minty.

It was a lot of money new. But $750-900 these days.

Price ($975) seems high, but I would play it first. If happens to be a really good one, I would want it and probably pay their price if I needed to. I just paid a lot more than that for a new one.

Lovely ASAT. I'd pay $975 for it if it came with a shop guarantee and a full set up. Seems fair enough to me.....

I would probably figure 1500 for both would be fair.

That's more nice guitars at a pawn shop than I've seen in a while. The two or three pawnshops closest to my house all seem to have junk.

That definitely seems high to me. Check the sold auctions on fleabay for what they are worth. I recently sold this one on fleaby - was hoping for $950, expecting $850, only got $650, and it was near mint.

G&L's simply dont retain their value like fenders-the shop knows this. Used, that very nice asat is worth 750-800 tops. Over 9 used is crazy.

G&L's are wonderful guitars, and I love the unique pups they have...

750 Tops and only because it's bound

Ok I got them down to $800 for this G&L ASAT Classic in my OP. Somebody push me over the edge. We all have a great ability to rationale our GAS, so give me some of the our classic excuses for making a purchase like this.

Because you were able t have them knock off almost 20% of their original asking price, and 800 is more than half-off the list price.

Plus it's double bound...how cool is that!
