Line 6 slipping on a banana peal, and missing a deadline.... Where have I heard that one before?

they will come out of the wood works
    they will say mean things
they will make you feel bad about yourself
do not disturb the programmers at Line 6 because they are right
you should not have come to this on your own
    DANGER!!!! DANGER!!!!!!

Must've posted this twenty times in eight different forums, but people keep missing it somehow:
This is what we've said since NAMM, when it was first announced.

We found one last squirrelly bug late on Friday. With a bit of luck, we can squash it before Tuesday night... which would be 100% on schedule.

Even if you hadn't posted that, the first quarter isn't over for another few days. This thread is just silly.

I confess, sometimes I contribute to these threads simply because, just like in the Field of Dreams, if you build it Digital Igloo will come. :D

I wonder if the launch dates wold be easier to hit if Digital Igloo wasn't spending all his time on TGP . . . just saying :)

Any ETA on Firehawk and the Variax Standard?

    A little uncalled for.

I think it's good a company/product representative is engaging with the users on the forums.

Not a firmware or software engineer, so anything I'd do to help would likely just delay things.
Don't have an exact date, but they should show up in North America soon. Europe's a week or two later, I think.

Which is why I'm patiently and happily waiting. But be warned: if you guys launch it on time, and we hit April 3rd without the followup for my hd500, I will be getting irrationally angry and starting 20-page line 6-bashing troll threads on every forum I can find.

I'm sorry - the smiley face was supposed to mean I was just kidding - which I was! I appreciate your presence here - nice to hear things from the horses mouth.

As a long time owner of the HD500, and being that Line 6 has promised to provide a firmware upgrade at no cost, it's OK with me if they miss the date. They don't have to provide the upgrade at all, the unit isn't broken, and they have had my money for almost 4 years now. It would be different if we were all paying say $250 a year for support (like with many other products), but Line 6 is doing this for free.

DI, thanks to you and your team for supporting the product for longer than you have to. Take your time.

BTW, with some companies like Roland, you are lucky if you get any upgrades at all.

Roland yeah LMAO! at that one.The last meaningful update from them was for the GR55 of which I have two and the only reason they did it is because the acoustic piano was awful. They did nothing until they saw units being returned.Works okay now.

I have been so busy I forgot about this update from Line 6.

I will probably update my older HD500 at some point but I have it purring into FRFR/ or a tube amp right now so no hurry for me.

trying it today with an EHX 44 Mag amp and 1x12 cab.

Still really enjoying the HD500. It has been a real money maker for me!

Ah... perspective. It's refreshing and oft-ignored around these parts. :p

    Well put!
I think I have had value for money from my L6 products thus far and the relatively long life of the product with a few firmware upgrades. I'll be buying the new amps pack.

Just waiting for the "all in one" Smallish FRFR wedgable with HD500X built in. One power cable, one variax cable, one cable to the desk and we are away. understand it will be more expensive its what we want. It would be good for whetever comes next to have a better resolution / quality display. Good to have things editable by PC/IPAD but always need a good display for tweaking on the device itself on the fly.
