This is a very petty complaint but it always bothers me when companies use Cyrillic font to appear more "quirky" or whatever , but don't bother to look up what the proper phonetic russian spelling would be.

The box should read something like " POCCUH nUKYl." It currently is just a bunch of bastardized English-cyrillic lettered nonsense.

This example is nothing compared to this silliness.

It really hurts my eyes, and instantly killed any (possible) GAS. Not even a "correctly" made mistake. Its just Greek letters that resemble the equivalent English, used in English words. Really stupid nonsense. And the builder is a teacher too...

Saw that a couple days ago. Another great showing of the pedal. I think I'm nearly sold on getting it now.

Im trying to imagine how a pedal named POCCUH nUKYl would go over...but with a user name in Latin I can see why the backwards n and k bothers you ;)

One thing I do know as a designer, you can never please everyone. I do find it interesting how much influence the graphics make on a buyers consideration. Reminds me of high school when I would buy albums based on how cool the cover art was. I loved (and still do) good cover art!

^^^Those old ARC enclosures were so cool. New enclosures, not cool.

That's a new, short run of the ARC Big Green using the old enclosure (note the different graphics). Check it out:

    Must.... purchase...!

WHRP: Trigger pulled! I couldn't resist. I suppose the new OG ARC Effects will have to wait...

I just bought the Limited ARC to a/b with my SUF Green Russian, might give the R Pickle a go too.

Awesome! It was a tough call between the two for me, but I have an original ARC BGP, and the WHRP was cheaper. Let us all know what you think when you get it.

I'll definitely report back with findings...the SUF Green Russian is a tough one to beat, although that one's modeled on the Bubble Font circuit and the other two on the Tall Fonts. The Pelitaur also has an excellent Russian circuit in addition to the spittier/60's circuit.

Darn you! Now I just ordered one.
Way to derail from the WH.
Truth be told, with import taxes here, the WH might not be much of a bargain anyway (at least that's what I tell myself for splurging on the Arc :))

There's always a way to justify our purchases haha :D And you're welcome, just thought it needed to be mentioned along with the Pickle...they both really look great :)

My WHRP just arrived this evening. Quick question to other owners: Have any of you noticed anything odd about the matte finish? Mine looks great, but even the slightest touch seems to leave slightly glossy marks. Are yours the same?

It sounds awesome. Big and whooly with the mids forward. The tone sweep is usable through the entire range. The volume on tap is reasonable, it doesn't go from 0 to 100 instantly. I haven't had a real green EHX in a number of years but its similar to how I remember it.

Can it doom? Into the right amp, you bet. Sounds great into a crunchy 5150. Also sounds great with an HM2 pushing it.
How's it sound on bass? Huge, present in the mix, retains lows, but not overwhelming. Sounds great, as you'd expect from a green Pi.
