Went to the site but how do I order the black one?
Edit: Nevermind. Read a post above that explains.
I need to stop making pedals for a week and build a new website that incorporates things that have happened beyond 1999!
Order placed via an email to @David B as instructed earlier in the thread and have paid, but for anyone who committed and is wondering send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and he'll invoice you through Paypal.
Looking forward to getting it!

This showed up today...
That black crinkle finish is superb, isn’t it?
Huge props to David. Email request sent to him last night (Friday night, no less) for a DD in black, pedal in the mail less than 12 hours later! My 4th Barber pedal. Expect there’ll be more.
Im in DD v 3 in black
I received my black GC-SR a few days after I ordered it, thank you David!!
Unfortunately, I had to go out of town for a week the day after it arrived so I didn't really have a chance to check it out until yesterday.
This is my third Barber drive pedal and I keep saying the same thing about each one, there is not a bad sound in this pedal.
I've come to realize that the drive pedals I hang on to are the ones that sound great at any setting.
It doesn't matter where the gain knob is set or where the toggle switches are set, it all sounds good.
I can see keeping all three and using the GC for low gain, the BUEQ for low/med gain with some mid boost (dynamics knob is great) and the DDv3 for med/high gain.
These three pedals really can take care of all my overdrive needs.
I'm horrible at describing tone so I'll just say that the GC-SR sounds great and I love the finish on it.
I appreciate the OP for getting it started and @David B for making it happen.
Are these black DD's and GC's still available? Didn't see it on website.
Indeed, I went a little heavier on the order, so far we are not at 50, so I have good stock.
ahhh so it's a matte finish?
Yes it is matte with a little bit of texture. It isn’t “bumpy” but it isn’t glass smooth. Not as much texture as the Wampler SLOsortion. Enough to be different.
Both the Gain Changer and the Direct Drive are great pedals, but the Gain Changer really blows me away with its range of tones. I didn’t know it sounded that good all the way up into hard Overdrive territory. It is loved as a low gainer but significantly overlooked as a dirtier Overdrive.
Officially called "Black Texture" or black tex, the same finish that was on all classic Barber pedals, holds up great and does not show fingerprints as much as gloss colors do.
Oh, and the black Tone Presses should be ready by the end of this week with some nice higher headroom/sweeter sound upgrades to the circuit!
In stock! I only made 10 of them, so...
Didn’t read 9 pages... but you’ll hear about “spray paint”?
Yah, I have bought a tone press direct drive and GC from you this year. Sigh. I may contact you... Is it possible to get the black exacta with rams head specs?
I could make you one that way, sure!
