Well, with all the RF/Dumble to-ing and fro-ing, this might seem like a fairly mundane thread ... but here goes anyway.

Has anyone put a Weber Silver Bell or Blue Dog into a Classic 30? If you have, can you tell me:

    • Which speaker
    • What wattage
    • Alnico or ceramic
    • What did it do to your tone ... using what kind of guitar
    Thanks.

i put weber blue dog ceramics in several c30's and like them a lot. the silver bell has slight high end roll off, iirc, and the c30's i have had were a little dark and didn't need this. c

    Thanks Ramblin,

Can you tell me how the tone compares to the stock Blue Marvel, with a strat going through it if possible ... if not, what guitar/pickups are you using.

    Cheers

Sorry to barge in, but I saw the "NO Dumble" content, and had to stop in to make sure. You are all clear, so carry on.

The greenback sounds much more "woodier" not quite as much mids, better low end, . It gave both channels a nice little chime and got rid of that boxy sound. The greenback and blue dog seem to be the fav's in the c-30 at http://forums.peavey.com:8080/~Amps
