You've done or want to to do, and yer bandmates are like, uh yeah, sure dude, or something along those lines. Fer instance, I think Kylie Minogue's 'Can't Get You Out of My Head" is one of the best songs ever

Haunting melody, yeah? Check out this fingerstyle

I'm the king of wanting to do odd covers. My ambition is matched only by my utter lack of ability to demonstrate my visions to others. Someday, I WILL find a James Brown tribute to do Hendrix' "Fire", the way it was always meant to be, or will convince Mary's Danish to reunite one time to cut a version of Motorhead's "Metropolis".

A band I was in back in the late 90s, had a girl singer who sounded a lot like Pat Benatar. The band played original, fuzzed out, feedback driven alt-pop songs. Sorta Curve/MBV/JMC type stuff. My self & the other guitar player also sang lead on a few tunes. The local music & arts rag dubbed us "Fleetwood Mac with chainsaws". One of our most popular covers was "Lost in Love" by Air Supply as a duet between the girl & I. You could see people in the audience trying to figure out where they knew the song from. When they finally figured it out, huge cheers and sing alongs.

    It was awesome.

The Lemonheads take a sad song and make it peppy. Those crazy kids...

Never been a Lemonheads fan but I dug this. May even metalize it and present it to my band.

There can be only one best cover band, and that would be the Leningrad Cowboys. Here's a prime example of owning a cover...

    And another...
