    That was hilarious.

    Who needs reality, anyway?

I tried "Guitar Hero" once - thought it was stupid.

It is as much like playing actual guitar, as Mario Kart is like real driving.

I regularly see "Guitar Hero" controllers in the "Musical Instruments" section of online classified sites.

    Good grief :(

Look on the bright sight - if no one plays real guitars, but want to play "air guitar", then you stand a great chance of making real money getting paid to make backing track for guys to "air guitar" to.

We grammarians never had anywhere near that good of a run, sadly.

My favorite type of comment I get in regard to these games: "Man, you must be good at Guitar Hero!" I kind of laugh it off on the outside but part of me dies a little on the inside..

I wonder if you get to pace around bored out of your mind in and outside of the venue for hours on end before the show?

Playing a "real" guitar hurts your fingertips.

Where's the drunk boyfriend wanting to kill you because his girlfriend smiled at you while you were on stage?

I'm glad it includes classic rock bands like Green Day.

it amazes me how many people don't realize rock is almost dead. doubt me? go stand on the corner near your house or work. what are the young men bumpin in their autos? it ain't rock & roll. it's katy perry and others like her. it's sappy faux soul music. young kids these days aren't rockers. they could care less about hendrix or zepplin. rock is over. your grandkids will think of it as "old people music" the way some of you might have thought about glenn miller or benny goodman.

Guitar hero has always been a fun game, but people who play it don't consider themselves as musicians. I don't understand how you could consider this a threat to musicianship and the music industry.

This is true. My ex-wife and I were giving some of her students a ride home after some school function. I had Meatloaf playing and one girl started singing along. I said "you know this song???" She said "yeah, my parents listen to it all the time"

There when I officially knew I was old.

    I was 33 then.

I watched the video. Lame.... Guitar hero lame. Want to get rocking use your real guitar and rocksmith 2014. There is even a gig mode that you can play live with another. player Choose two roles out of lead/rhythm/bass. There is even talk about a drum addition. This is a great game. I play it with my full rig, amp, pedal board, etc. I think everyone should check it out.
