Really, how refreshing Jimmie is, his tone, approach. IMHO, he is to be admired.

In the spirit of sharing about speakers,
I have been trying to find a good sounding speaker for my brown Vibrolux amp, and have tried many.
Eminence Allesandro, new Jensen P12R, Jupiter Condenser LA,
and an old Oxford from a 62 Magnatone (which sounded the best for what I do, but I was
worried about blowing it). So I bought a Tone Tubby Red 12", and I believe we have a winner here.
A hemp cone one. Sounds just right in the amp, and I can't wait to get it out on a gig!

Those TT speakers are nice! I had a bud who played a Red, w/ the hemp cone, in a Deluxe Reverb and it sounded spectacular! Good choice, Ricky!

Ricky - Is that the same speaker that Tavo spec's for some of his Nocturne amps?

I've been enjoying an ASW Elegante 12" AlNico in my TV Pro (with 12" adapter ring I made out of baltic burch). This speaker came to me when I bought an extension cab... I ended up selling the cab but had to keep the speaker.

Question: Is anyone aware of a pickup maker who winds repros of the Kay kleenex box pickups, as found in the Swingmaster and Barney Kessel models? A early/mod-60s Swingmaster has surprisingly become my #1 lately! Anyone else like these models?

Mojo pickups in the UK makes them. Hershey bars too. He’s on hiatus right now catching up on orders though.

Yes, Tavo uses the Red in some builds.

Thanks Ricky... the pickups are fine in my guitar... just thinking about what a similar design might sound in another instrument.

1962 Kay Swingmaster... budget masterpiece (well, this particular guitar is anyway)!

The red TT is my favorite speaker—it kills in my brown Deluxe!

What happened here? It looks like someone put a repro eBay Silvertone label over a faded Harmony logo, but wouldn't the Harmony logo be pearloid inlay?

14k? That's crazy money... Especially for a guitar that doesn't actually have his DNA embedded in the finish! LOL

I don't know where guitar manufacturers think us broke-ass musicians are gonna come up with that kinda money. Although, I would wager these may all be sold out already.

But, dammit, I drooled over it just the same....
