Is it a univibe?
Very subtle, but a cool sound.
Seen the version on the original G3 DVD? It SLAYS the recorded version and his tone is monstrous!
I seem to recall it being more of a chorus + delay type setup on the cleans, rather than a 'wooshy' univibe.
I've watched EJ's section of G3 about 100 times.
I don't have, nor have I played, a vibe pedal so I was guessing....
It's not a typical chorus sound, so I was interested how he achieved it.
Same here.. I think its just bloody good Fender amps, well mastered. maybe a little touch of chorus in the studio.. and of course EJ is THE tone freak..
for a while, he was rocking tcf chorus/flanger
EP-3--> TC chorus split stereo to 2 deluxes on the G3 video.
Love the 335 on the encore!
Sounds like a Lexicon to me. He's widely known for using PCMs in the studio.
The slightly wobly sound might be the Echoplex. If you get a chance to play an old one you will notice it, tube or solidstate model doesn't matter.
Didnt see the 335 encore.. Would love to.. .. I am a big EJ fan.. ><
The Echoplex is key. Also note: Eric often uses some of the amp vibrato on his Fenders in addition to the echo and chorusing.
