Has anyone had a chance to try out both the Warehouse Speakers ET65 and the Weber 1265? Contrast & compare? I'm wondering if they're more similar than different, & if the Weber 1265's sensitivity is realtively close to the ET65's 96db?

I have a WGS ET-65 and like it really well. I'm planning on picking up another for a match up in one of my 2x12 cabs. I'm not sure of the sensitivity comparison, but that can be solved easy enough with an email to David at WGS and Ted at Weber. I've never had the opportunity to hear the Weber 1265's, but I'm sure someone will chime in that has.

I've got an ET-65 and I like it a lot. I have it in a 15 watt EL84 powered combo. It was a bit dark when I first got it, but after breaking in it has plenty of top end and chime.

Never heard the warehouse or Celestion G12-65, but I do have a Weber 1265. It is a warm sounding speaker, dark, smooth midrange, rolled off highs, solid bass. It sure is less sensative than speakers I usually use (CL80's, Vintage 30's, G12H30's, etc).

Recently we tried the weber 1265 in a closed back cab with my bandmates Line 6 Spider Valve 112 (with internal V30). He had been using a closed back cab with a vintage 30, in addition to the internal speaker. Anyway I really liked how the 1265 mixed with the V30 and what it did for the overall sound. It tamed some of the harsh highs I heard from the 2 V30's. Seemed to warm the amp up. My bandmate however liked the V30 extension cab better for he is using that :(
