WGS makes both speakers, does anybody have experience with both?

I have the Jupiter. Great speaker. I have used the WGS. I find the Jupiter a bit more scooped, a bit quieter and more vintagey in an old Jensen type of way. Both are great. Possibly I prefer the Jupiter, just a tiny bit.

No experience with WGS but I’ve got Jupiter speakers in my vintage BF Fenders. Like said above, they are awesome for that scooped, vintage Jensen’s tone. I’m a big fan.

You smashed the speaker because you didn’t like it?

Never occurred to you to just sell it and get something else?

    Looks very nice.
A friend has built a harp amp with one of the ceramic ones and it sounds very good.

I've owned both, in different (and differently designed) 2x8 cabs. I liked them both fine; I found the Jupiter to be "brighter," but certainly not shrill.

Search around here: lots of love for the Jupiter 8.

Seems like the reasonable thing to do.
