I got a Whammy Pedal about a 2 years ago and I'm still trying to figure out how to use it to make it sound good, but sometimes it sounds like it throw's my guitar way out of tune. Like when I use the 2 octave up and rock it back it doesn't go back to intune. Has anyone else had this problem? It's the whammy 4 so if anyone has any idea whats going on it would really help me out.

Sounds like you need to recalibrate it...
I think in the manual it tells you how...prolly find it on line...pdf somewhere..
    Sorry I can't help more.
    Good luck.

Yeah it needs to be recalibrated...it is a little tedious to do...and I have quite forgotten the procedure now.

Did you make sure and take the lil feet out from under the treadle? If you don't, it will always be a little flat.

I have a friend who had tuning issues with his whammy, but only when it was on a pedalboard. If it was flat on a solid surface, it went back to zero just fine.

For some reason there was enough flex somewhere in the pedalboard that it was hard to get the pedal back in tune.

    • What is the reset and pedal calibration for the Whammy 4?

    Disconnect power.
Press and hold the silver footswitch.
    Connect power.
Wait until the light blinks several times.
    Let go of footswitch.
Move the pedal all the way through it's full range of motion.
Press and release the silver footswitch again.

I often have this problem too. I've gone through the recalibration many times.... almost daily actually. I ended up trimming the rubber feet on the heel side of the treadle. It seemed to help out.
