To go with a Modern 100 watt Marshall.

No 4x12 cabs for me. I'm to old and fat. :D

If ya can, take your head around and try them. I did and there's a huge variety of 212 tones to be had. I like a bit more bass response in my cabs so I paired my Zinky 25watt Blue Velvet with a Mesa Recto 212 cab, 140watt capability. The Mesas V30s, oversized cab and closed back perfectly compliment the Zinkys brighter Custom Celestion in a 312 ministack. Really adds the bottom. You may end up with two different cabs. I'm seeing this more and more now. Happy GASin'!

I tried some before, Mesa, Marshall, and Bad Cat, and I think the latter is the best.

OK OK OK. If they have one in stock tomorrow I'll get it. There is a dealer in Roswell for the things. But if not I'm gonna go with something else. There is no way I'm gonna wait a couple months for a Cab.

I'm gonna look around a GC but I dont think they have anything close to what I need. Midtown isnt open till Tuesday I know they will have something good in stock. Two Rock, Dr Z, Aikens, Marshall....

    What does Discount have?

Might have to try them also.

I'll have a cab by Tuesday at the latest.

splawn cabs were made to have a marshall on them :D

seriously (especially if you can get to charlotte to try them) you should look into one...i know someone from atlanta had two for sale on here not long ago

if you like vintage 30's definitely try to play a randall 2x12 cab, they're VERY similar (sound and constructionwise) to mesa's 2x12

Yes the Bogner cab is great. I had one at one time. I felt like going in a different direction today though. I picked up a JCM 1936 2X12. Its smaller and lighter than the Bogner but I think it will do the job.

I'll post back with some reviews about it shortly.

i hope you didn't buy it new, i owned one of those things (for $150 i couldn't say no!) and thought it sounded like a turd

...well maybe that's a bit harsh, it sounded OK, but definitely not worth the $500 price tag...but that's just my opinion, i know guys who love and swear by 1936 cabs ;)

    Roswell?

Music Brokers? I'm not sure what special 2x12 they carry.

You really should try a THD. It's a pretty amazing 2x12. Easily as much bottom end as most 4x12's. The Dr.Z is great too but won't handle 100 watts.

this sounds absurd unless it is the speakers, i.e. the vintage 30's, that harsh
